FRUIT PACK CUM SCRUB

FRUIT  PACK CUM SCRUB
No matter which beauty product rules the market, a fact that we can never deny, is that fruits are nature's best beauty enhancers. They promise a healthy glowing you, while nourishing and brightening skin as well. I have always relied on my homemade facial packs rather than the fruit packs available in the market.
Today I’m going to share with you one of my all time favorite: a fruit pack cum scrub. These fruits are very affordable and we can get them everywhere.
So here goes the recipe:
What I had used:
1.      Fruits. I had used Sapodilla (chikoo), Strawberry, Papaya, Orange, Apple and Banana. I had used these six fruits, but you can add/subtract according to your needs and choices.
2.    Honey
3.    Raw milk
4.    Gram flour (besan)
 That’s it J
Talking about the benefits:
1.      Sapodilla (chikoo): It is a vital source of vitamins, minerals and health benefiting anti-oxidants.
2.    Strawberry: Helps to tone the skin, lighten blemishes, pigmentation problems and keeps the skin smooth , supple and glowing.
3.    Papaya: Rich in antioxidants and a special enzyme called papain that kills dead cells, whitens skin, removes freckles, promotes skin renewal and cell turnover and nourishes skin.
4.    Orange: It contains collagen that slows skin aging process by tightening the skin. And as we all know oranges are a good source of Vitamin C which is known to improve the skin texture and color.
5.     Apple: Full of antioxidants, which prevent cell and tissue damage, preventing wrinkles and aging.
6.    Banana: They are rich in vitamin A, B and E and hence works as an anti-aging ingredient.
7.     Honey: A great moisturizer and in addition has antiseptic and antibacterial properties with hundreds of other benefits and no side-effects as such.
8.    Milk: Help skin stay soft, supple and glowing. It has lactic acid which can act as an exfoliant and enzymes to help smooth skin. It also has amino acids that help keep skin moisturized. Milk can help prevent damage from environmental toxins because it has anti-oxidants.
9.    Gram flour: It deeply cleanses and exfoliates the skin.

Step by Step recipe:
1.      First take slices of your favorite fruit in a clean dry bowl.
2.    Wash your hands and mash them.

     3.  Add a teaspoon of honey and milk and blend them well.

4.    Add the desired amount of gram flour and blend it. Make sure there are no clots of gram flour and the consistency is balanced, i.e. not to thick and not too runny.
5.     Wash your face and pat dry. Then apply the mixture on your face, neck and arms and massage in a circular motion for a few minutes. I concentrate mainly on my nose tips as I have terrible black head problems.
6.    Let it dry.
7.     When your skin feels tight, scrub it off gently using upward movements.
8.    Wash off and pat dry.
9.    Apply a light moisturizer (if needed)
Discover a squeaky clean, glowing face which is well nourished and pampered by these gifts of nature. Use this pack to get rid of your black head problem, nagging spots and blemishes.
I have normal to dry skin so I feel comfortable using this pack year round. But I would suggest people to understand their skin type and then use it accordingly.
Do let us know what you feel about this pack, if anything more is needed or not?? J
Keep glowing..!!!

It stays on lips for a pretty long time, keeping my lips well hydrated and moisturized. NIVEA FRUITY SHINE LIP BALM- PINK GUAVA

NIVEA FRUITY SHINE LIP BALM- PINK GUAVA

Last winter I saw one of my friends using the “strawberry” from Nivea’s fruity shine range. I was totally attracted by the chic packaging and the color off course. As soon as I returned hostel, I googled it and came across their huge range of colors from strawberry, pomegranate to cherry, dragon fruit and pink guava. After being confused for quite a while between dragon fruit and pink guava, I headed on to buy the “Pink Guava”. But alas…!! The place where I have to stay for my studies doesn’t even have a good store where I can get avail of my favorite lifestyle products. Luckily my man was in Kolkata then, and I told him to buy one for me.

Here’s the review of my ever love lip balm:

What Nivea Claims on Fruity Shine-pink guava:

Discover the delicious fruity scent and light pink shimmer! The Nivea Fruity Shine Range, with fruit extracts and shimmering pigments keeps your lips as soft and fresh as they can be.

It has a delicious guava scent and rich ingredients for extremely soft and glossy lips.

Product Description of Nivea Fruity Shine-pink guava:

It comes sealed in a blister pack with a cylindrical-shaped twisted plastic tube placed on the left side. The packaging is super cute and stylish. The cap is the color of the lippy, so in this case it is coral pink in color with Nivea fruity shine pink guava written on it. No mention of expiry date or manufacturing date on the tube, but is mentioned on the back of the blister pack, so keep in mind the expiry date before throwing the pack away. It contains SPF 10.

Price: Rs. 129 for a 4.8g

My take on Nivea Fruity Shine- Pink guava:

Oh my my…!! I love this lip balm like crazy since the first time I twisted the base to push it  up and out. It has a delicious fruity taste and color. It highlights my lips with its coral pink boost and provides moisture and protects my lips from drying out. It may not last the entire day but nothing beats the texture, color, and coverage for me. I am not a huge fan of much pigmented lippies, and sometimes lip balms/glosses that are too shimmery look weird on my face. This is the perfect color and the shimmers are sober and don’t add too much sparkle. It goes on dreamingly smooth on my lips and looks pretty natural.

Summing up the PROs and CONs of Nivea Fruity Shine-pink guava:

            PROs:

1.       Superb color.

2.       The shimmers are perfect, not too loud and not too calm.

3.       Provides great moisture.

4.       Chic packaging.

5.       Pocket- friendly.

6.       Protection against the harmful rays of sun.

7.       Travel friendly tube

8.       Smells really nice

9.       Looks great on lips, specially on fair complexioned beauties.

10.   Now-a-days it is easily available.

CONs:

1.       Not very long-lasting. But I don’t mind applying it every 2 hours.

2.       Ladies who have pigmented lips may not like it.

Would I repurchase Nivea Fruity Shine-pink guava?

Definitely. I’m on my second tube already and i'm planning to buy another before this runs out.

Would I recommend Nivea Fruity Shine-pink guava?

Off course. It’s a must try.

My RATING: 5/5
